How does the Weezevent buyer refundable service work?

Weezevent does everything in its power to give event organizers more and more tools, and buyer refundable service is one of them. It reinforces the services that you, event organizers, offer to your clients.

1. What is the buyer refund service offered through Weezevent?

The refundable tickets option is offered through Weezevent via Protect Group. It is therefore a contract between Protect Group and the buyer. This option allows you to easily offer a refund possibility to your buyers in case they are unable to attend.

You can find the information documents regarding this insurance here: General conditions.

1.1 Organiser side

This service allows you to keep your income even if tickets are canceled by buyers who have previously subscribed to this option.

This service, free of charge for you as an organiser, enables you to :

  • Secure more sales, as it is reassuring for buyers to be able to subscribe to a refund option
  • Offer more services to your buyers
  • Reduce potential refund requests from your buyers, since the reservations and claims are being fully managed by Protect Group
  • Avoid the often long and complex process of dealing with a provider in order to offer this service to your clients. Weezevent provides you with a ready-to-use option to offer your buyers

The refundable tickets option is only available for eligible events. The conditions for an event to be eligible are as follows:

  • The event is a paying event
  • It is sold in Euros (€), Pounds (£), Swiss francs (CHF) or Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • It has not yet started
  • Reservations are deactivated

An order is eligible if :

  • The event is eligible
  • The order amount is greater than 0 € / £ / CHF / CAD

1.2 Buyer side

When activated, the refundable ticket service appears as an optional feature for your buyers, which they may choose to purchase or not at the end of the form.

The emphasis is on your offer and the information you wish to collect, and the option is only presented at a later stage. It is perfectly integrated into the purchase tunnel, giving pride of place to your offer and information.

2. How do I turn-off buyer refundable ticket service for my event?

This option is activated by default on each of your eligible events (see eligibility criteria above).
If you do not wish to offer this option to your buyers, you can deactivate it at any time.

Go to Ticketing options > Additional service > Activate buyer refundable service > Unclick

However, you should be aware that refundable tickets service is compatible with a "zero refund" policy. In fact, by offering this option, it is not you as the organiser who refund buyers, but the provider. In addition, tickets refunded under this option are not automatically put back on sale, so you retain control over the number of tickets available on sale.

If you wish to reactivate it, simply change the setting and the option back to Yes.
