To create a complete shift description, it's essential to specify the exact location of the shift. WeezCrew offers several options to help with this.
Members need to know in advance the exact location where their shift will take place. The shift details page allows you to share all necessary information with maximum accuracy.
Whether it's a location in the centre of a partner village, a supply point, or a mountain crossroads, WeezCrew provides the tools needed for detailed localisation.
Geolocating a Shift: Two Methods
1. During Shift Creation or Editing
Access the Location section when creating or editing the shift.
Choose the most suitable map background (map, satellite, IGN Plan)
- Enter the exact address if it’s listed on Google Maps.
- Alternatively, enter GPS coordinates directly (latitude and longitude).
- You can also fine-tune the location by dragging the red icon on the map.
Set the desired zoom level to ensure the location is shown with the appropriate level of detail for members.
Don’t forget to save at the bottom of the page by clicking Create shift or Update shift.
2. Via the Map View
From the Shifts module, select the Map View.
Click the exact location on the map. A marker will appear, which can be repositioned if needed.
Click on Create a new shift. The selected location will automatically be included in the shift details.

Tip: You can also import .gpx route files to create shifts directly linked to a course or path. See this article to learn more.
