Certain internal information, such as a status, a comment, or specific data, may require confidential management. For this, private custom fields are an appropriate solution: they are invisible to the member and accessible only to administrators.
How to Create a Private Custom Field
- Go to the Custom fields module in the main navigation bar, then click Create a custom field.
- Define the title, the expected type of response (text, dropdown list, checkbox, etc.).
- Check the box Yes, only the organizers will be able to view and edit the field linked to the question Is this field private? to make it visible only to administrators.
- Go to the member's profile. The field will appear in the Private information section on the right in the Information page. Click Edit to enter or modify the data.
Note: Private fields can be used as filtering criteria in custom views within the Members module to make your organization easier to manage. Follow this article to learn more about filters and custom views
