Creating a Custom Field

Custom fields allow you to tailor the form to your specific needs, such as personal information, skills, required documents, logistical preferences, and more. These data points help with assigning members to shifts that best match their profiles.

Default fields like name, surname, phone number, date of birth, and photo are available, but you can also create custom fields based on your objectives. These fields can be made visible to members or reserved for organisers only.

Creating a New Custom Field:

  1. In your main menu, go to the Custom Fields module, then click on Create Custom Field.

  2. Fill in the following details:
    • Name or question

    • Subheading (if necessary, to clarify the request)

    • Type of expected response (free text, checkbox, dropdown list, etc.)

  3. Organise the field by categorising it for easier management.

Available Field Types:

  • Checkbox: For simple Yes/No answers.

  • Date: For birthdates, document expiry dates, etc.

  • File: For document uploads.

  • Language: Multilingual dropdown menu.

  • Dropdown list: Select one or more options.

  • Number: For numeric entries.

  • Phone number: Includes international prefix.

  • Time: To indicate a duration or specific time.

  • Text: Free text field, ideal for short responses.

  • Multiline text: Allows for longer responses, such as motivations.

  • Mandatory confirmation: Requires the acceptance of a charter, rules, etc., before form submission.

Private Field:

A field can be set as private, meaning it is only visible to organisers. It will not appear on the registration form but will be accessible in the member profile. This is useful for managing internal information such as accommodation, allowances, meals, equipment, accreditations, and more.

Check the option Yes, only the organizers will be able to view and edit the field to create a private field.
